Teamcenter integration
CADTALK ERP is an off-the-shelf, bi-directional integration between Siemens Teamcenter and your ERP. It reads the product structure engineering releases in Teamcenter (items, item revisions, BOM views, and every standard and custom property) and transforms the engineering BOM into manufacturing-ready items, BOMs, and routings.
CADTALK reads Teamcenter through its own REST services (Teamcenter SOA). The CADTALK host needs no Teamcenter Rich Client installed, and nothing is custom-built on the platform. If the REST services don't fit your environment, CADTALK can read a Teamcenter PLM XML export instead.
Key Teamcenter integration features

Why getting Teamcenter and your ERP talking pays off
Teamcenter holds the product record engineering releases. The ERP holds the one production runs on. Between the two, someone re-keys item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and revision levels, often across several sites.
Release status, respected
Only what engineering has released in Teamcenter reaches the ERP, so production never builds from a design that's still in work.
Change that reaches the floor
When a revision is released in Teamcenter, CADTALK identifies the delta and merges it into the ERP. Purchasing and production see the change without anyone hunting for it.
No duplicate maintenance
Stop keeping parallel data in Teamcenter and the ERP.
How CADTALK works with Teamcenter
Step 1: Read
CADTALK reads the released product structure through Teamcenter's REST services, using the revision rule you choose. Item IDs, descriptions, quantities, find numbers, units of measure, revision levels, and custom attributes come across as engineering defined them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
No. CADTALK reads Teamcenter through its REST services, so the CADTALK host needs no Rich Client installed.
CADTALK runs on a standard Windows server that can reach both Teamcenter and the ERP. Separate network subnets are fine as long as they're routed. No custom development on the Teamcenter platform.
Reading through the REST services works directly. If there's any question about your version or database platform, CADTALK can read a Teamcenter PLM XML export instead, which takes the database out of the equation.
Yes. CADTALK reads unit and occurrence effectivity from Teamcenter and its rules turn it into the structure your ERP expects, such as product structure alternates in IFS Cloud.
